When you’ve just moved into a new apartment, the last thing you’re thinking about is having overnight guests (or maybe you are) however, it’s always nice to have a few loved ones over to help welcome you into your new space and keep you company—especially if you live alone! Here are three easy ways to make your new apartment comfortable for your overnight guests.
Bring Out The Pillows and Throw Blankets—The More the Better!

Movie night in the living room? Remember to keep lots of pillows and throw blankets close by to snuggle up with.
If your new apartment is anything like mine, you’re still working on the seating arrangements and pillows can be a great way to invite friends to get cozy on the floor.
Create A Cozy Space for Your Guests to Crash

Make sure that you and your guests have a soft place to land after a long night of gossip, drinks, and whatever else you and your friends do for entertainment.
I have a one-bedroom apartment and my favorite and most handy furniture piece is my sofa bed.
I chose the tropical print duvet cover and sham set for the sofa bed to bring out the spring vibes! —winter is not my favorite season.
I keep one light and one extra-warm comforter at the ready to insert into my duvets for season to season weather changes. Having an extra comforter and bed allows me offer a comfortable sleeping arrangement to my overnight guests without sacrificing my own comfort.
* Duvet covers provide lots of options and Cstudio Home offers a wide range of colors and prints for all of your bedding needs.
Whoever ends up on the sofa bed—the guest bedroom, will have a good night’s rest! Everyone has a better day when they’ve had great sleep, so bring out the comforters and decide on the best place in your new apartment for your guests to lay their heads.

After a long night of entertaining, the last thing you want to do is make and serve your guests food the next morning.
Choose simple dishes that yield a lot, like pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, and fruit. Serve them buffet style. Stack your dishes and mugs so guests can serve themselves and you can enjoy the meal too.
Classic white dishes are my favorite. I also love sharing my recipes online and using white dishes to help show off the colors of my cooking. Plus, they’re the perfect vehicle for some messy pancakes!
Hosting in a new apartment can definitely feel overwhelming—especially if you don’t have much space or little furniture.
It’s important to purchase items you can use all year. Comforters, pillows, throws blankets, and everyday essential dishware—these are all great investments. You’ll get so much use out them for your new apartment and your guests.
